Reggea at Summit

After a long break, I made a new fractal today. It again has the "Himalayas" like feel to it, because I started off with kpk-akl as usual, and used AKL-KPKombinsky for all of the layers. As one may recall, that formula has a double sawtooth shape with its default settings. Made the palette a black and white gradient as I usually do, I played with bailout, seperation, and power. Since the formula has large portions of solid colors and crisp transitions, It is usually easier to create something vectorlike and easy to resemble. So I found this mountain, and messed around with it a bit. The next step after obtaining a nice shape is duplicating the layer and by preserving the focal point, change the parameters, angle and layer merges. Some experimentation lead to this result. It was a busy image, but I stripped off many layers from it so it turned out to be this somehow raw-looking thing.
As it is stated by Esin, (=banana-tree in dA) the image looks incomplete. I agree with her, and will try to give it a finished look & feel. I plan to start off with the last layer from scratch.
